This Castle Dome material is a pale blue with with a hint of green and contains a brown matrix, often with a spiderweb pattern. Therefore, this natural, untreated Castle Dome turquoise tends to look more like the turquoise from Nevada's Old #8 Mine. This turquoise is absolutely natural, but it will polish well without any treatment. Turquoise is a copper-based mineral (hydrated copper aluminum phosphate).  This material takes a fine polish with diamond followed with green rouge. (Zam is a brand name for green rouge.)
